LUCY BANWELL
Lucy Banwell has an M.A in writing in Art and Education and a Post Graduate Diploma in Writing and Personal Development. Lucy was the winner of the Catherine Pakenham award for young writers in 1991, sponsored by The Sunday Telegraph. She has published articles in the Independent on Sunday, and in various online and printed magazines.
For the past 20 years Lucy has facilitated writing workshops with community groups, specialising in collaborative cross art-form projects, including photography, music, dance, visual and public art.
Most recently, in partnership with the National Association of Writers in Education, Lucy has been The Storyspinner, working with groups of young people to write and publish interactive stories exploring character, genre, narrative and plot. In 2017 Lucy secured an Arts Council grant to work with an artist to explore extending the Storyspinner project to new audiences.
